Most of our tours operate year-round, but some are seasonal depending on weather conditions. Each tour listing shows the best time to visit. Thailand’s peak season runs from November to February (cool and dry), while the green season (June to October) offers fewer crowds and lush landscapes.
Our unique rating system evaluates every experience across four pillars: Environmental Impact, Social Responsibility, Economic Benefit to local communities, and Cultural Preservation. Each leaf represents excellence in one pillar. A 4-leaf rating means the experience excels across all dimensions of sustainable tourism.
Cancellation policies vary by tour operator. Most experiences offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before the start date. Check the specific cancellation policy on each tour listing page. For changes, contact our support team and we’ll coordinate with the operator on your behalf.
We strongly recommend travel insurance for all visitors to Thailand. While our tours maintain high safety standards, travel insurance covers unexpected situations like flight cancellations, medical emergencies, and trip interruptions. Many tour operators require proof of insurance for adventure activities.
Each tour listing includes detailed meeting point information with GPS coordinates and a map. Many Bangkok tours include hotel pickup. For tours outside the city, we provide transport recommendations and can help arrange transfers. Detailed instructions are sent with your booking confirmation.
The Thailand Environmental Fund is our commitment to giving back. A percentage of every booking goes directly to community-voted conservation projects across Thailand — from mangrove restoration and coral reef protection to wildlife sanctuaries and community development programs. You can track contributions on our Environmental Fund page.
Many of our experiences are family-friendly and we indicate this on each listing. We recommend tours rated “Easy” difficulty for families with young children. Popular family choices include floating market visits, farm experiences, and cultural workshops. Each tour listing specifies minimum age requirements if applicable.
For temple visits, cover your shoulders and knees (long pants or skirts below the knee). For outdoor activities, wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. Each tour listing has a specific “What to Bring” section with tailored recommendations.
We have a rigorous vetting process. Every operator must demonstrate genuine community benefit, environmental responsibility, fair wages for staff, and cultural authenticity. We visit each operation in person, interview community members, and review their sustainability practices before listing them on our platform.
Absolutely! Beyond the automatic Environmental Fund contribution from your booking, you can make direct donations to specific conservation projects on our Environmental Fund page. Some experiences also offer volunteer add-ons where you can participate in conservation or community projects during your visit.
We’re always looking for community-based tourism operators who share our values. Visit our Partner With Us page to learn about our partnership requirements, commission structure, and application process. We particularly welcome operators offering authentic cultural experiences, eco-tourism, and community-based activities.
