Arrival in Chiang Mai
Touch down in northern Thailand’s cultural capital. After hotel check-in, meet your crew for a welcome dinner and trip briefing. This is your first taste of Lanna hospitality and the laid-back vibe of Chiang Mai’s old city. pick-up and your first night’s accommodation, allowing you to rest and adjust to any jet lag. Depending on your flight schedule, this also gives you the opportunity to explore the local culture and acclimate.
Chiang Mai - Pai
Hit the road on Route 1095 — home to over 760 twists and turns through misty jungles and mountain ridges. Today’s ride is legendary among motorcyclists. Arrive in Pai, a relaxed river town nestled in the hills. Enjoy a cool evening, perhaps with a dip in a hot spring or a drink by the river.
Pai - Mae Hong Son
The mountain roads continue as we roll deeper into northern Thailand. Along the way, stop at Soppong and explore the Tham Lod cave system. We reach Mae Hong Son by evening — a serene town surrounded by forested peaks near the Myanmar border.
Rest Day in Mae Hong Son
Take a break and soak in the region’s charm. Visit hilltop temples, sip coffee by the lake, or opt for an optional side trip to Ban Rak Thai — a tea-growing village founded by Chinese settlers. This peaceful day lets you rest up for the second leg of the journey.
Mae Hong Son - Mae Sariang (via Khun Yuam)
Today’s ride traces scenic valley roads through farmland and forest. Stop in the quiet town of Khun Yuam for lunch before continuing south to Mae Sariang — a laid-back riverside town that offers a window into authentic northern Thai life.
Mae Sariang - Mae Chaem
We veer off the beaten path, riding through remote rural areas with rolling hills and ethnic minority villages. The ride to Mae Chaem is a lesser-traveled gem — tranquil, rugged, and full of natural beauty.
Mae Chaem - Doi Inthanon (Summit & Base)
Climb to the rooftop of Thailand — Doi Inthanon, at 2,565 metres. Visit the iconic twin royal stupas, chase waterfalls, and enjoy the cooler air up in the highlands. Tonight, we stay near the base of the mountain, surrounded by misty pine forests.
Doi Inthanon - Chiang Dao
A winding descent leads us through countryside backroads toward Chiang Dao — home to towering limestone cliffs and quiet jungle trails. This is one of Thailand’s most scenic and underrated spots, perfect for a slower evening and mountain sunset.
Chiang Dao - Phayao
Cruise through peaceful northern landscapes on your way to Phayao, a lakeside town with a calm, charming vibe. Arrive in time to enjoy a sunset walk along the waterfront or a relaxed dinner by the lake.
Phayao - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
Ride east for a quick stop in Chiang Rai — home to the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). Take time for photos and a coffee before turning back toward Chiang Mai, following open roads and gentle hills. Arrive by evening for a well-earned rest.
Free Day in Chiang Mai
Unwind with a Thai massage, visit local temples, stroll through the old city, or shop for souvenirs at one of the many markets. In the evening, join the group for a farewell dinner and toast to 9 days of epic riding.
